Get ready to pack those shoeboxes because Operation Christmas Child has already begun at Timberline.
How can you help?
First, look for tables with the red and green shoeboxes posted throughout the church. Pack your shoebox with gifts for either a boy or a girl ages 2-4, 5-9, or 10-14. Include a $7 fee to help transport your gift to a child in need throughout the entire world. If you pay on-line (https://www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/follow-your-box/), you can follow your box all the way to its recipient. Pray that God can use your gift to touch the chosen child in a special way. (If you don’t have one of the special shoeboxes, find one of your own and perhaps wrap it with festive paper.)
Next, drop off your filled shoebox the week of November 14-21. There will be collection tables at all Timberline services the weekend of the 19th/20th.
Love this ministry?
We could also use some help on November 19th & 20th to help load cartons during the late afternoon and evening. We also need help on the 21st from 2-5 pm to finalize the shoebox collections. If you can’t do any of those dates, contact Donna at firstname.lastname@example.org for other volunteer options for this massive and impactfull work.
Last year, Timberline filled 1100 shoeboxes—or Gospel Opportunities—for 1100 children worldwide. This year, we would love to top that record with 1200.
