Dani Crosson is currently a department head and captain for the Joy Team (a team of teenagers who lead the children’s ministry time at Timberline Church). After completing a couple years of college at Colorado State University, she felt the itch and call of God to step out of her comfort zone and embark on a journey to England with Youth With A Mission.
Around September 20, Dani will be going to Cambridge for a two-phase missions program. The first phase, the Revival and Reformation Discipleship Training School, will take place in Cambridge for six months. While there, she will learn about hearing the voice of God, the character of God, inner healing, prayer, gifts of the Holy Spirit, a Christian worldview, and more. While in England, she will also be working on several local outreaches that may include working with the children’s programs of various churches, working with the elderly, or evangelizing to fellow college students. The second phase will be a three-month outreach to another country to work in whatever capacity is needed at the time. Previous outreach teams from the Cambridge school have gone to Africa, China, and India.
Dani’s personal goals include jumping out of her comfort zone into the place God wants her to be. She wants to be fully dependent on God in what He has in store for her as well as grow into all she was created to be in Christ.
While she is gone, please pray for:
- Success in her goals.
- To accomplish God’s purposes in her life.
- God’s provision and strength each step of the way.
Dani’s brother Ben and the Thirst band are having a night of worship and fundraising concert on Friday, August 29th in the South Auditorium from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. to help raise money for Dani’s trip. She will have a table in the back with prayer letters along with tea and scones. You can also follow her journey on her blog at http://danicrossonywamcambridge.wordpress.com.
