Ever since Kenna was a little girl, she had a passion for helping others. As her desire for missions grew, she was blessed with the life-changing opportunity to go to Africa, May 28th-June 20th. Kenna will join a team of twenty to serve with the organization, Generation Next, in Kibwezi, Kenya.
In Kibwezi, Kenna and her team will be working at the school, Pamoja, which is Swahili for “together.” In the beginning of June, they will also help open the orphanage, Gail’s House, and teach Vacation Bible School.
As she learns about the lives and culture of the people, Kenna hopes to gain a new perspective on poverty and learn how to appreciate the little things in life. Most importantly, she wants to love the people and help open their hearts to the love of Jesus.
While she is gone, please pray for Kenna’s family and her parents’ continued support and strength. Also, pray for protection and safety for the team as many of them will come across situations they may not be ready for. Kenna asks that Jesus begins to prepare their hearts and minds for what lies before them.
